When we are watching The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, we notice that Edmund Pevensie betrays his brother and sisters because of this food: Turkish Delight. Actually, what kind of food is the Turkish Delight?
From Wikipedia, I found that Turkish Delight is from Istanbul. It was made from starch and sugar. Sometimes you can find the flavor of lemon, cinnamon, mint, rosewater, and sometimes it has characteristic pale pink color. It is soft, and like jelly, formed as cube which is covered with dust sugar. It is usually contains nuts like pistachio, hazelnut or walnuts.
Actually, I find difficulties to try Turkish Delight. I don’t know if it is same like in the movie, but I find it at Amazon. The name is Divan Turkish Delight with Pistachio
