Georgie Henley Lucy Pevensie

TLucy Pevensiehe Chronicles of Narnia make Lucy a star.  Lucy is played by Georgie Henley.  She does an outstanding job in the movie.  You wouldn’t know it, but that was her debut in 2005.

Today, Henley is currently living in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. She was a member of the Ilkley Upstagers’ Theatre Group. She has recently finished her education at Bradford Grammar School. She currently attends Clare College, of Cambridge University. There, she is studying English. Skandar Keynes Edmund Pevensie

Skandar Keynes

He is the star of the Chronicles of Narnia.  Skandar Keynes has done it… it’s an amazing performance and the movie was a success.

In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Edmund betrays his siblings to the White Witch while he is under her influence.  However, as the story progresses, he accepts the that he is wrong. He is redeemed with the intervention of Aslan.  He joins the fight against the witch.

Fulfilling an ancient prophecy, Skandar becomes King Edmund the Just, King of Narnia.  And together, with sisters Susan and Lucy, co-ruler under High King Peter. Edmund is described in the books as being part of a ‘group of fair haired men’ and is specifically described as having a ‘golden beard’ so is most likely blond.

The stories are great.  The movies are wonderful, but the books are even better.  I recommend buying the books on Amazon.  You’ll spend hours hearing the tails and will remember them for the rest of your life.

Anna Popplewell Susan Pevensie

SusanAnother star of the Chronicles of Narnia. Anna Popplewell is the oldest of three children. She began acting at the age of six, taking classes at the Allsorts Drama School.

Anna’s role in the Chronicles of Narnia make the movie better than ever.  She adds that edge that the movies needs.  It’s hard to describe unless you watch the firm, however, her character makes you want to keep watching.

Maybe it’s the 3 siblings together, or maybe it’s them working as individuals, but the combination of the three make the Chronicles of Narnia a movie to watch.

Bring you family together and pick this movie.  You’ll enjoy watching it and it will give you something to talk about afterwards.  It’s one of those movies that’s good for the entire family over, and over, and over again.

First Appearance of Duck: The Wise Little Hen

Following my previous notes about Donald Duck entitled “Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!”, I would like to review the first appearance of Donald Duck in history.

The Wise Little Henwise little hen

The Wise Little Hen was published in Silly Symphonies series on June 9, 1934. It is based on the fairy tale The Little Red Hen. It was animated by Art Babbitt, Dick Huemer, Dick Lundy, and Ward Kimball. The director is Bert Gillett and Wilfred Jackson. The story was also adapted into a comic strip by Ted Osborne and Al Taliaferro. The voice of the hen was starred by Florence Gill, Donald Duck was voiced by Clarence Nash, and Peter Pig was voiced by Pinto Colvig.

About The Story (spoiler warning)

The story is started when a hen and her children (the chicks) are looking someone to help them plant the corn. First they come to Peter Pig. But Peter Pig refuses her by saying that he has a stomachache. Mrs. Hen regrets it, but she don’t insist on Peter.

Next, Mrs. Hen and her chicks go to Donald’s place. He was asked the same thing, to help them plant the corn. But like Peter, Donald refuses to help because his stomach is sick.

In that case, Mrs. Hen plants the corn by herself, helped by her children. They work hard, while Peter and Donald are playing and not working. But still, when Mrs. Hen asks their help to cook, they refuse and say that their stomachs are still in pain.

Finally, Mrs. Hen and her children finish their cook. They are ready to eat those delicious meal. When Peter and Donald see the meal, they feel dizzy. They really want to eat. Their eyes are blur because of hunger. Mrs. Hen then asks them if they wanted to help her eat the meal. Peter and Donald agree with that (Donald says, “Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!”). But what do they get from Mrs. Hen? Medicine for their stomachaches!!! Good for them! ;) So those who don’t want to work, they don’t deserve to get the harvest.

Its All Started from a Mouse

Mickey MouseDo you know who Mickey Mouse Is?

Mickey Mouse is the most popular character from anyone’s’ childhood.  It’s the reason Disney exists.  In fact, if it wasn’t for Mickey Mouse, would you never know who Walt Disney was?

Mickey Mouse was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at the Walt Disney Studios in 1928.  For almost 100 years, Mickey has been in our lives.  I think it’s because we can relate to him.  He faces challenges and wins over them.  He’s our little hero.

This character cannot be separated from Disney.  Neither can Disney be separated from Mickey Mouse.  They are one and the same.  This is what makes this relationship so special.  Disney has to have the best interest of Mickey Mouse in mind.

It like the old saying… What would Mickey do?  Well, it might not be a saying, but it should be at Disney.  The Disney Company cannot separate themselves from this childhood figure.  They have to keep in mind how people see Disney and Mickey Mouse.
