Congratulations for Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Studio!!!
“Up” has won two categories of Golden Globe awards. In “The Best Animation Feature Film” category, “Up” has defeated its competitor such as “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”, “Fantastic Mr. Fox”, “Coraline”, and other Walt Disney movie, “Princess and the Frog”.
While in “The Best Original Score” category, Michael Giacchino as the composer of “Up” has defeated James Horner from the-best-movie-winner “Avatar”, and other composers in other movies; “The Informant!”, “A Single Man”, and “Where The Wild Things Are”.
Good job! Once again, congratulations! Well, the journey which has been done by Carl, Russel, Kevin, and Dug has brought them success, although it cost a house and a GPS (lol).
Once again, congratulations! We’ll always love your movies… Can’t wait to see your other movies…

Following my previous post about Princess and The Frog, now I want to give you the list of the characters and its dubbers… The information I got is from IMDB and Wikipedia, as well as its pictures
The first one is Anika Noni Rose. She is the voice of the newest princess from Disney Family, which is the first African American princess in Disney Princesses, Tiana. Rose defeated Jennifer Hudson and Tyra Banks to have this role. Well in the movie, Tiana is actually a 19-year-old waitress and aspiring chef who dreams of owning her own restaurant one day. Her fate changes when she meets a frog who’s asking to be kissed so he can change bank into a prince. Instead of finding a handsome prince, Tiana finds herself become a frog too.
Who is the ‘prince’ that has made Tiana into a frog? He is Prince Naveen. His voice is dubbed by Bruno Campos (we know him from Nip/Tuckthe series). He is actually a prince who comes to the French Quarter for the jazz scene. Tiana and her best friend, Charlotte fall in love with him. But then he was cursed by Dr. Facilier into a frog.
Tiana’s best friend, Charlotte “Lottie” La Bouff, was voiced by Jennifer Cody. Like Tiana, Charlotte also wants to marry a prince and become a princess.
The evil from this movie which has cursed Prince Naveen is Doctor Facilier, which was voiced by Keith David (voice of Decepticon Barricade on Transformers the Video Game). He was originally named "Doctor Duvalier" and was a voodoo magician and fortune teller. He misled Naveen to make a deal that has transformed him into a frog (‘Green” for Dr. Facilier is frog, while for Naveen is money). As quoted from Wikipedia, Keith David described Facilier as “A schemer, a conjurer and a sorcerer of sorts.”
Like every other princess has, Tiana also has a ‘fairy Godmother’. She is Mama Odie, which was voiced by Jennifer Lewis. Mama Odie is a 197-year-old blind woman who knows voodoo. She also has a snake as her pet, called JuJu.
The other character who also helps the frogs is Ray, a firefly who is in love with Evening Star (Venus) because he thinks it’s another firefly. Ray helps Tiana and Naveen to meet Mama Odie. Ray was voiced by Jim Cummings, who is known as the voice of Winnie The Pooh and Tiger.
We also cannot forget Michael-Leon Wooley as Louis, an alligator who can sing jazz and play trumpet. You won’t be afraid if you meet Louis, because his only dream is to become a human and join a jazz band. Haha…
As a prince, Naveen also has a valet. He is Lawrence, who was voiced by Peter Bartlett.
Tiana’s mother, Eudora, was voiced by Oprah Winfrey (who doesn’t know her…). Angela Bassett was originally rumored to be slated for the role.
Tiana’s father, James, was voiced by Terrence Howard (known from his role in Iron Man). He shares dream with his daughter, to have a restaurant of their own.
The young Tiana and Charlotte were voiced by Elizabeth Dampier and Breanna Brooks. They loved hearing the story of “The Frog Prince” from Eudora.
Besides all these actors and actresses, there are still some characters which are not mentioned here, such as Don Hall as the frog hunter, Darnell; Emeril Lagasse as Marlon, an alligator, John Goodman as Big Daddy La Bouff, the richest man; etc.
Don’t forget to buy "Princess and the Frog" the soundtrack . It was composed by Randy Newman, who have won a lot of awards for his works, such as in Toy Story, Monsters Inc., etc. Or feel free to cook like Tiana, follow her recipes in the cook book . This girl became famous after she starred a Disney Channel movie called Camp Rockwith Jonas Brothers. Demi started to act since she was six years old. Her first stage was Barney and Friends, a famous TV show for children which contains singing and dancing. She starred as Angela, the girl with glasses, along with her best friend until now, Selena Gomez (Alex in Wizards of Waverly Place). They met in the show and have been best friends since then.
Her debut in Disney Channel was started when she appeared in short Disney series, As The Bell Rings. She is Charlotte Adams in that movie. Since 2008, we can see her on Disney Channel Camp Rock, together with Jonas Brothers. Here, Demi takes part as Mitchie Torres, the daughter of cook on a camp who is dreaming of being a rock star. Mitchie then has to lie to everybody that she can join the camp because her mother is the cook. The camp itself is in rock-and-roll atmosphere.
Another Disney Channel series which she is working in is Welcome to Mollywood. Beside of acting, Demi Lovato is also a singer and musician. Her latest album is Don’t Forget (released on September 23, 2008). Demi is good in playing guitar and piano. Demi and Jonas Brothers help each other by writing songs on each album.

I found this interesting videos on YouTube. It’s awesome, because we can see a lot of Disney couples in this clip. We can see Pocahontas and Captain John Smith (don’t forget to give your daughter the costume for Halloween), Eric and Ariel from The Little Mermaid (here’s The Costume), Tarzan and Jane, Aladdin and Jasmine, and so many more. It is interesting for me because I feel like that I am watching Disney Channel The House of Mouse, but the stars are all Disney characters. It will be more interesting and greater if the creator uses Disney songs in the clip. But, enjoy, guys! And make sure you have this wonderful Disney calendar for 2009!

I’ve told you in my previous blog, that I love Enchanted so much.
Enchanted, one of Walt Disney’s movie which combines animation and real human. One of the precious scenes in Enchanted is the scene when Giselle and Robert are dancing at the ball. They want to be close together, but at the same time, they have to be far, because Giselle has to go back to Andalasia with Edward. It’s very touching, so melancholic, and I love the song.
The song So Close, is sung by Jon McLaughlin. When I heard it for the first time, I was touched by its atmosphere, and also by the farewell between Robert and Giselle. In addition, Jon McLaughlin also has a great voice, which adds the melancholic feelings to the song.

When we are watching Cinderella, we can see that Cinderella is dancing with the Prince at the ball. When they are dancing, the world seems to be like theirs. The situation is very romantic of course. This is the moment where they realize that they are meant to be together. They are dancing accompanied by the song, So This is Love.
It’s very romantic, of course, accompanied by the beautiful voices from Cinderella (Illene Woods) and the Prince. I’m sure you’ll love it…

Like I’ve said in my previous post, I love this song. The song is sung by Rob Thomas (from Matchbox Twenty). This song, well at least for me, is so touching. Every time I hear this song, I feel like wants to cry, but not because I am sad. This song is teaching us that problems will go someday. Well, all we can do is keep moving forward!
