Bayou Beats on iPod/iPhone

Author: disneytalks Categories: Characters, Latest News, Movies, Walt Disney

Do you like Princess and the Frog? Do you love the music? If your answers to both questions are “Yes”, then you should download application named “Bayou Beas” for your iPod/iPhone.

As seen on the picture (I captured it right from my iPod), the game needs music to play. You can choose some songs to be played, and all of the songs are from the original soundtrack of Walt Disney’s “Princess and the Frog”.

All you have to do is to hit the crown when the lights up. Listen to the music to help you finding the beats.

On Extras menu, you can see short character-clips that never been seen on the movie before. You can choose Tiana, Big Mama and other characters, Naveen, or Louie. You can also watch the full version of music video “Never Knew I Needed” by Ne-Yo.

So, what are you waiting for? Open your iTunes and find Bayou Beats right now! And guess the best part! It’s free!!

hi all…

Author: disneytalks Categories: Disney in Me, Movies, Walt Disney

Hi guys… What are you doing right now? I am watching Walt Disney’s Meet the Robinsons at the moment. It will never be boring… :)
Btw, I got news from a friend that Broadway’s show SHREK was bankrupt. It was said that the show didn’t have a lot of audiences. Wow… I hate Shrek anyway, because Dreamworks always “steal” Disney’s works… What do you think? Any of you knows?

As I’ve been waiting for months, finally the release date of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader finally released. Unfortunately, the rumor is true. Narnia has no longer listed as Walt Disney production (so saaddd.… :( )

But still, Narnia will be a must-see movie this year… Here below is the source.

Taken from http://www.narniafans.com/archives/5085

Twentieth Century Fox and Walden Media will release “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” on December 10, 2010.

The move means “Narnia” will once again be a winter franchise, and places it a day past the five year anniversary of the release of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 2005.

Twentieth Century Fox recently partnered with Walden on the “Narnia” film series after Disney and Walden parted ways.  It was an easy fit, since Walden Media and Fox have a partnership under the Fox Walden banner.  Disney was the publicity, financial support and distributor for the first two “Narnia” films. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe debuted in December 2005 and cumed $291.7 million domestically.

Prince Caspian was released last May to less spectacular results, cuming $141.2 million at the North American box office. Walden and Fox believe “Narnia” is better suited for a December release.

As of now, “Dawn Treader” has the 2010 date to itself.  Let the countdown begin!

The Incredibles 1.5

Author: disneytalks Categories: Movies, Walt Disney

I found on the Internet, just thinking that you will love to read it… ;) I love Incredibles!!!

Published by Jennifer Vineyard on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 1:57 pm.

'The Incredibles'It was inevitable, really — never just a movie, “The Incredibles,” what with its whole family of supers, belonged in the comic book world from the get go, and now, with Pixar’s deal with Boom Studios, they will be.

Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl (Mrs. Incredible), and their kids Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack will continue their adventures in what writer Mark Waid calls “Incredibles 1.5,” a storyline that starts a little after the events of the movie, so that the family has had some time to let it sink in, but the characters are not any older. (And should there be an “Incredibles” sequel, the comic book stories won’t interfere). “This is Pixar’s tip on the Fantastic Four,” Waid said, “so while I get to play with their toys in the toybox, it can’t be so drastic that they can’t have a future.”

Which means Violet is still “delicately balanced” between being shy and having gained some confidence (“If she has too much, she’s no longer Violet”), Dash is still “thought to deed, single synapse theory,” and Jack-Jack still “can’t articulate what’s going on.” “He’s a wild card,” Waid said. “What are his powers now? You never can tell, and maybe he’d be great in a fight. But if I had a toddler that age, I wouldn’t even take him to the store, much less to fight a giant alien.”

In the first four-issue arc, starting in April, Mr. Incredible — Bob to his wife — is starting to lose his powers, his invulnerability and strength, but he doesn’t want to tell his family or go to the doctor. “You know the climax of the movie, with trying to control the giant robot? That was just their version of fighting over the TV remote,” Waid said. “You’re taking very familiar family dynamic problems and ramping up the superhero angle.”

So in this instance, when Mr. Incredible finds that his powers are fading (i.e. he’s feeling older and emasculated, every aging dad’s fear), he’s relegated to house husband status. “He feels terrible,” Waid said. “He’s calling them on the phone when they’re on missions, to give them advice, but what he really needs to do is get his powers back.” And just as there was an Edna on hand for costume problems, there will be a supers-doctor, too. “Where do you go to school to learn superhero medicine?” Waid pondered. “That’s something to think about.”

By issue four, this particular conflict will be solved – Waid’s currently writing the script for issue six, and hopes to keep the monthly comic going as long as possible (Darwyn Cooke is doing the covers, but no artist has been attached for inside art). Eventually other Pixar titles will start coming out next year as well as comics – “Toy Story” will be up next – to the point where six titles a month will eventually be in rotation. “There are people even at my office who would cut my brake lines in a heartbeat to write ‘The Incredibles,’” Waid said, “but ‘Wall-E’ would be just as fun to do. We’ve been talking to folks about writing ‘Toy Story,’ ‘Monster’s Inc.’ or whathaveyou, and when we say, ‘Dude, we’re a startup company, we can’t afford you,’ they say they don’t care. People want to write this stuff.”

What would you like to see explored in the ‘Incredibles’ comics? Should Violet go out on dates? Should Jack-Jack grow up? Who would you like to see write other Pixar comics? Let us know!

Disney’s Newest Princess

Author: disneytalks Categories: Characters, Movies, Walt Disney

Disney Talks - Newest Princess: Tiana on The Princess and the FrogOn my childhood, I remember that I always love to watch movie about Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc. I remember, although at that time I only watch the pictures and didn’t understand about the whole story, I love to watch the characters. But most of all, I love to hear the song. The one which makees Wlat Disney’s movies different is because the songs, how they mix it to the story and becomes a wonderful musical animation. Unfortunately, nowadays, it is very rare to find the musical animation again. That’s why I love Enchanted, the movie which has a lot of beautiful songs.

Picture above is the first official image of Princess Tiana from Disney’s upcoming The Princess and the Frog. Click on the picture to get the larger size.

Walt Disney will add new member to the list of Disney Princess (along with Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel "Little MCermaid", etc). On this movie, Walt Disney decided to return to traditional animated musicals and fairy tales (What I really love). It will arrive in theatres on Christmas 2009.

Like I’ve said in my previous post, I love this song. The song is sung by Rob Thomas (from Matchbox Twenty). This song, well at least for me, is so touching. Every time I hear this song, I feel like wants to cry, but not because I am sad. This song is teaching us that problems will go someday. Well, all we can do is keep moving forward!

Well, folks, I proudly present (in Walt Disney production, of course :D)

Little Wonders
ost. Meet the Robinsons

by: Rob Thomas

Let it go
Let it roll right off your shoulder
Don’t you know
The hardest part is over
Let it in
Let your clarity define you
In the end
You will only just remember how it feels
Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours
These small hours
Still remain
Let it slide
Let your troubles fall behind you
Let it shine,
Till you feel it all around you
And I don’t mind
If it’s me you need to turn to
We’ll get by
It’s the heart that really matters in the end
Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away
But these small hours
These small hours
Still remain
All of my regret
Will wash away somehow
But I cannot forget
the way I feel right now
In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Yeah, these twisted turns of fate
Time falls away
Yeah, but these small hours,
These small hours
Still remain
Yeah, oh they still remain
These little wonders
All these twists and turns of fate
Time falls away
But these small hours
These little wonders
Still remain

Let It Go and Keep Moving Forward

Walt Disney Meet the Robinsons Poster Movie

After few weeks I passed writing this blog (my Internet connection is distracted until now), on this opportunity I would like to discuss about Meet the Robinsons. I love this movie, although the story is not originally made by Disney. It is based on the novel by William Joyce, A Day with Wilbur Robinson.

The story is about a little child, who is trying to get his own family. He was abandoned when he was a baby, and then, because he is genius, he loves to make some experiments, although the result is not always satisfying. Sometimes, the couple who wants to adopt him must feel disappointed and angry because Lewiss (that’s the name :D) screws up with his experiments. Lewiss realizes that there will be no parents will accept and adopt him as he is now, except his own parents. In purpose to find his real parents, he tries to make a memory scanner to know who his real mother is. He makes the memory scanner day by day, not stopping although his roommate, Goob, cannot sleep because of him.

But the day he wants to demonstrate the memory scanner in science fair, Lewiss is visited by Wilbur, who tells him to beware of The Bowler Hat Guy. Without Lewiss’ notice, the Bowler Hat Guy (actually the hat) ruins the scanner. Lewiss feels disappointed and he doesn’t want to fix the scanner. But Wilbur keeps asking Lewiss to find out what is wrong with the scanner. Refusing to do so, Wilbur promises Lewiss to bring him to the day he was abandoned, but Lewiss has to finish the scanner.

Unexpectedly, Wilbur brings Lewiss to the future, where people travel through bubbles, planes, and have robots and monsters as their servants or pets. And then the time machine they are using is broken, so Wilbur asks Lewiss to fix it. When he is fixing the time machine, he accidentally meets Wilbur’s family. Lewiss easily falls in love with this family. In fact, when The Bowler Hat Guy with the hat named Doris try to kill him, Wilbur’s family protect and save Lewiss, they don’t care if they will hurt themselves. But after that, when Wilbur’s family notices that Lewiss is from the past, they ask Lewiss to go home to the past. Disappointed, Lewiss is convinced by the Bowler Hat Guy to give the memory scanner to him. Things become worse since then. What happens? Who is the Bowler Hat Guy? Find out by yourselves in Meet the Robinsons by Walt Disney Production.

The one thing I love about the moral lesson of this movie is Keep Moving Forward. This is the slogan of the Robinsons. If something doesn’t go perfectly, don’t give up and keep moving forward! Wow! That’s a good slogan, isn’t it?

Beside the slogan, I also love the song titled Little Wonders by Rob Thomas. I will discuss this song tomorrow with hidden mickeys in this movie, if my Internet can work well… (I hope…)

Oh yeah, the other thing I love in this movie is Tiny, the tyrannosaurs which is brought by Bowler Hat Guy to kill Lewiss, but then it turns out that although Tiny has big head, he has little arms.. LOL…

ps. When I was a little kid, I love PEZ candy… and accidentally I find this… PEZ Meet The Robinsons, 0.58-Ounce Assorted Candy Dispensers (Pack of 24). I’m sure your kids will love it too.. :D

Winnie The Pooh and Friends (click for the wallpaper) Who doesn’t know Winnie The Pooh? Walt Disney has made this character and its friends to a cartoon. The characters are based on A. A. Milne (1926) works, which was made for his son (it is portrayed into character Christopher Robin).

Winnie the Pooh and Tigger (in original version)

From all characters which are in Winnie the Pooh, I like Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore. First, Winnie the Pooh. I like him because I learn that I have to be proud of myself. Do you remember The Exercise Song which is sung by Pooh? The lyrics said, “I am short, fat, proud of that…” Well, I am fat, and my boyfriend says that I am short (because he is tall!! Unfair!!! :p) But Winnie the Pooh made me realize that even I am fat and short, but I can be cute like him… (I wish… hahaha…)

The next character I like is Eeyore. Perhaps he is the saddest character I’ve ever known. But it makes me feel pity for him, because he is never be noticed by everybody, even sometimes his friends forget his birthday… Well, I have experienced being forgotten by my friends, so I know how he feels… I am looking forward when Walt Disney will make The Eeyore Movie:D (the wallpaper is by Darin)

Eeyore (click to get the wallpaper)

Here below I enclosed the lyrics of Exercise Song by Winnie the Pooh. (It is often called as Up, Down, Touch the Ground!).

When I’m up, down and touch the ground
It puts me in the mood,
Up, down and touch the ground
In the mood for food (smack, smack)
I am stout, round and I have found
Speaking poundage wise
I improve my appetite
When I exercise

I am short, fat and proud of that
And so, with all my might
I up, down and up, down to
My appetite’s delight
While I’m up, down and touch the ground
I think of things to chew, like honey
With a hefty happy appetite
I’m a hefty happy Pooh
With a hefty happy appetite
He’s a hefty happy Pooh

Enjoy!

Narnia: The World of Fantasy

Author: disneytalks Categories: Characters, Movies, Walt Disney

What is across your mind when you hear the word "Narnia"? The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven novels of fantasy which is written by C. S. Lewis. While we are waiting the newest movie from Walden Media and Walt Disney Pictures, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, you can read my post to add your knowledge about Narnia.

WHAT IS NARNIA?

Aslan in The Chronicles Of NarniaNarnia is a fantasy world created by C.S. Lewis through his seven Narnia series which are magnificent. But in the book, Narnia is created by Aslan, the Great Lion.

In this world of fantasy, the animals can talk, mythical beasts can be alive and magic is not a weird thing to see, or we can say, common.

In this series, those who can enter Narnia are usually children, from ‘our’ world, Earth. They are the Four Pevensie children; Peter Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Edmund Pevensie, and Lucy Pevensie; a cabman Frank and his wife Helen, Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer, Uncle Andrew Ketterley, Eustace Scrubb (Pevensie’s cousin) and Jill Pole.

THE GEOGRAPHY

Unlike our world, Narnia is a landmass face world (it’s flat). It is faced by The Great Eastern Ocean on the East, mountains in the West, Shribble River in the North, and Archerland in the South.

Narnia Map full size

I will tell you more about Narnia and the cast of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian later. ;)

If you can’t wait to watch the movie, be patient… Meanwhile, you can play with Chronicles of Narnia Monopoly or Stratego - Chronicles of Narnia. Or if you want to refresh your mind about The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, you can play The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Game with your children (they must love it!).
